For finishing up my project I’m going to film more clips to make video. I’m going to the keys over spring break and I think shooting there would be beautiful. Also I will wrap up my slide show presentation of cameras, videos and editing styles. I’m hoping the video editing turns out good and if it turns out well, I will post on YouTube.

The progress that I have made is that I have developed ideas for my video and have been shooting new things I just find pretty. I now am going to research some videos that people find visually pretty and am consulting with people who take videos a lot. I’m talking to my friend from Pennsylvania named Emma, who makes cool edits of videos. I will also continue my research on evolution of cameras.

My progress this week was researching the evolution of cameras and editing. I found out that special effects were developed and it changed the whole movie industry. Movies like marvel now are extremely popular in today’s world and it shaped our movie view. The culture of movies have changed and it’s very high tech now. I also filmed more clips for my video so I can create a video at end.

For my genius hour project, I have been recording videos for my video at the end. I have also been taking pictures off my Polaroid. I’m very excited to show my passion of pictures and videography and also to show the evolution of it all. Now I will be researching different cameras and also different ways to edit.

My genius hour is based off videos, editing and how cameras have evolved. Overall, I love watching cool edits of good shots people take and love the creativity that goes into it. For my project, I want to give you information of how editing works and how it has changed over time. I’m currently filming a video of my everyday life or what happens that I believe is interesting. I’m gonna be taking shots of beaches, nature, sunsets and I have my boyfriend filming off a GoPro in Colorado right now for the video. I’m excited to edit it and share it to everyone.

I have gotten to the end of creating my project. I now have figured out what I need for the band aid and now I will create a prototype to create a tangible aspect. I also will compare the bandaids in use to finish off my project.

Since working on my project, I have accomplished some information on the project. I found out that it is going to be a little more difficult to create than I thought but I can buy a pre-made ice pack to install in my bandaid. I have also had progress on the background of my project by finding out that materials needed to compose my bandaid.

Genius hour is a creative outlet that lets you express yourself. It is a way for students to create a new project and to think out of the box. It’s something to make you think and make you do research on a project you have interest in. I feel with genius hour, it’s a way for me to share my interest and creative ways with my fellow students.

My project for genius hour is about a bandaid that declines the inflammation of your skin and also protects and heals your cut. I will reassemble a bandaid to create my project and insert a ice pack in the cloth of a bandaid. This invention allows you to do 2 things at once.
